Most children and young people who have the opportunity to visit Holt Hall and its majestic grounds, remember their first visit with long lasting memories. Memories of playing outdoors in our beautiful environment, learning how to understand and protect nature and wildlife, through exploring Holt Hall’s extensive woodlands, productive gardens and beautiful lake. Usually a whole school class will come to Holt Hall, meaning the children have all their friends with them to share the amazing experience. If financial reasons prevent and joining in, Holt Hall volunteers and Friends of Holt Hall can provide support from our charity fund to ensure they won’t be left out.
To add to these funds, some Holt Hall volunteers have entered the 2020 Run Norwich 10k, which is happening on 19th July! The fund has been supporting children for five years now and dozens have benefited from it already. This year the volunteers are hoping to raise at least £2,500, enabling dozens more children and young people the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate nature and how we should all reverse our critical impact on it, all in the safety of a school environment.
We wish our team of wonderful volunteers every success and we will be following their training progress…good luck!
