17 April 1950 at 12.25pm, the first students arrive at Holt Hall. 14 girls and 17 boys arrived in a Cullings Radio Coach and were met by Dr Lincoln Ralphs. This was the first residential co-educational school to be opened by an education authority in England. Norfolk and Holt Hall led the way!

Friday 17th April to Friday 16th April, 2021

April 2020 marked 70 years of education at Holt Hall, but unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to hold the celebration event planned for 18th April, so we decided to hold a ‘virtual celebration’ across Social Media instead.  We invited past pupils, staff and volunteers who had been involved in the history of the Hall, to help us build a virtual story.  We had hundreds of photos and stories from all over the UK, and even as far away as Australia and America.

Thank you to everyone who contacted us with stories and photos, we hope you enjoy our journey ‘Through the years’.
